Can student learning be improved by integrating technology in the form of digital storytelling? The College of Health and Human Development recently created an adoption course that captures the heart and soul of individuals intertwined with adoption. Through the use of storytelling, students learned about the history, policies, and emotional aspects of adoption. Students were expected to use the art of storytelling as they engaged in discussions, wrote reaction papers, and created presentations. The author/instructor, instructional designer, and multimedia specialist will share their journey through concept, development, and implementation along with students’ feedback.
